Getting started

Open a page, select ••• → Bulk restrictions for this page tree, or go to Space settings → Integrations → Bulk Page Restrictions. Full steps: user guide.

Before you write

• Your site URL (yoursite.atlassian.net)
• The top page you chose and what you asked the app to do
• The error shown in the app, or the CSV report of the change

Severity and response

Severity	Example	Target

Known limits

• Confluence requires the person who changes a restriction to stay on it, so you are added to restrictions the app writes for you.
• Pages with 200 or more people or groups in one restriction are left alone.
• Pages and spaces you can’t see are not included, in changes or in the audit report.
• Keep the app window open while a change runs; if it closes, resume it from History.
• Confluence limits how many requests apps can make per hour. Very large trees (thousands of pages) may pause with a “limiting requests” message; resume after a few minutes.
• Change records are deleted 30 days after a change was started.
• Page restrictions require a paid Confluence plan (Standard or above).

Updates

Releases are published through the Atlassian Marketplace with release notes. Minor updates install automatically; an update that needs new permissions must be approved by a Confluence administrator.
