Article data and authorization
The extension processes article identifiers, titles, content, links, modification dates, and related metadata through your authorized Zoho Desk connection. Content and URLs may contain personal or confidential information. Customer contact records are not required by these maintenance workflows. Zoho manages connection authorization; no credentials should be included in reports or support requests.
Processing supports article loading, link inspection, replacement previews, authorized edits, conflict-aware recovery, and CSV export. There is no separate vendor processing backend, advertising tracker, or third-party analytics in this extension. Zoho and your browser process the information needed to run their services under their respective policies.
External link checks
External network checking is opt-in. The browser sends a credential-omitting HTTP request to the selected link target and examines the response status; it does not import the target's page content. The target host receives the requested URL, your network IP address, and standard browser HTTP headers. URLs can disclose sensitive paths or query values; use appropriate article/link scopes. The extension does not send Desk OAuth credentials to link targets. Authentication walls, access controls, and browser cross-origin restrictions are not bypassed.
Local storage and retention
A recovery journal is retained in browser localStorage and separated by Desk organization. It can contain article identifiers and original/replacement article content. It remains beyond a tab close or reload until removed through the available journal deletion control or by clearing this origin's browser/site data. There is no automatic time-based expiry. Clearing recovery data removes the extension's ability to undo that run. Shared browser profiles can expose locally retained data to other users of that profile.
Scan results are processed in the browser. CSV files remain wherever you download them until you delete them. Protect these files as you protect the source articles. Removing the extension does not guarantee deletion of browser storage and does not delete downloads; clear its site data separately when no recovery is needed.
Support and requests
The vendor does not receive article content unless you choose to share it in a support request. Redact personal information, customer content, and secrets first. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or OAuth secrets. Request correction or deletion of information you voluntarily supplied to support through the support address above. Article rights and retention requests should also be directed to your organization's Desk administrator, because the source articles remain in that organization's Desk account.
This notice will be updated if data flows or retention change. The public documentation site is hosted on GitHub Pages; site requests are also subject to GitHub's privacy statement.
